Combinatorial Development of Pressure-Sensitive Adhesives

Combinatorial libraries of pressure-sensitive adhesives were prepared and characterized using a spherical probe tester. Force-displacement profiles generated for each adhesive provided information related to tack, peel, and shear behavior. These data were used to find the best adhesive, which was then used to generate a combinatorial library of varying thickness. These data demonstrate the utility of high-throughput screening in pressure-sensitive-adhesive development.
